Interceptor Pumping & Maintenance
As a proprietor in the food service industry, you probably are aware of the recent changes in the government regulated guidelines regarding the operation, cleaning and maintenance of grease traps, interceptors and waste kitchen oil removal. These regulations have been implemented to reduce the amount of grease entering the public sewer system from food serving establishments, and therefore protect the environment. Many cities now require owners of established food service businesses to have the grease removal device cleaned and pumped on a regularly scheduled basis by a licensed professional and to retain copies of the hauled waste manifest forms on-site, as well as to keep a record of the maintenance activities.
At Triple “A” Pumping & Jetting we offer a variety of vacuum trucks to accommodate every size job. From 18 Wheelers to Mini-Vacuum truck that can enter underground parking garages or confined spaces. No job is too big or too small for Triple “A” Pumping.
Our pumping service includes: an experienced technician who vacuums out all of the debris, waste water and grease that has collected in the interceptors, scraps down all walls and baffles, washes out the interior with our high pressure water systems that is on-board each of our vacuum trucks. Once it is vacuumed dry it is then hauled away and disposed of at a licensed facility.
Maintenance: It is highly recommended that your grease interceptor or box trap be cleaned and vacuumed on a regular basis (State and local county laws recommend a minimum of once a month for a box trap and a minimum of once every three months for a grease interceptor) so that grease does not enter the sewage collection pipes and accumulate resulting in narrowing of the pipe’s internal opening. Once this occurs the pipe will close and force all incoming sewage to escape through manhole covers or other exit points. Resulting in runoff into other surface drainage system where it can drain into the ocean carrying with it bacteria and other human pathogens, creating an immediate public health hazard and substantial fines from the city.
